The collection contains primary works of French literature in different genres of the 19th century. They are from the library of prince George of Prussia (1826-1902), which was bequeathed to Bonn University Library in 1902. The focus is on popular fiction of the second half of the 19th century. Nowadays the authors are mostly unknown, but in former times they were very successful and therefore they are of great value for literary and cultural history.
